Emotitones is a patent-pending service which allows users to communicate through short music clips via MMS messaging.
A user may select a music clip from a database of pre-edited 20-30 second music clips categorized by sentiment or occasion. Once previewed and selected, the sender can accompany the emotitone with customized text (and photo), and send to a friend’s mobile phone.
Emotitones as the name suggests, aims to increase the emotional context of otherwise dry text-messaging, by allowing users to express themselves through well-known (and obscure) lyrics. The company has many features in the pipeline to include other forms of media, and a strong community.
