Its products also include PAN Builder software that offers PAN Manager features to configure, control, and monitor infrastructure resources; PAN Server Portability software, which provides failover capability that automatically moves an application service from a failed server to a recovery server; and PAN Portability software that moves applications running on a PAN system to a backup PAN system residing in a remote data center. In addition, the company offers enterprise software and hardware support options that include software and hardware installation, parts, and remote system monitoring services; and consulting, knowledge transfer, and technical support services, as well as educational courses. It serves companies in various industries, including eCommerce, financial services, government, healthcare, ISP/hosting, non-profit, telecommunications, and public sector. The company was formerly known as Newheading, Inc. and changed its name to Egenera, Inc. in August 2000. The company was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
