Several high-tech projects as part of the “Electronic Prisons Service” or e-Prisons initiative. These websites support the work of the Prisons Service and help process applications and requests from those in remand centres or serving sentences at prisons or secure units. e-Prisons is a set of online shops serving facilities under the administration of the Prisons Service. For International Women’s Day on the 8th of March inmates at the Mariyinsk Women’s Prison were the first to receive presents from their families and friends using the new online-order system.
