EdgeCast competes in the content delivery network (CDN) space, helping companies accelerate the delivery of static content like video, music, games and live streaming as well as dynamic content such as applications, ecommerce and enterprise portals effectively and efficiently across the globe. EdgeCast is a full service CDN and is unique in terms of its global load balancing technology for faster and more efficient routing, enhanced reporting and analytics, and a flexible and easily configurable control panel for account management. They offer delivery to any device anywhere with a comprehensive solution for mobile, gaming, software, video and website delivery. CEO Alex Kazerani, Phil Goldsmith, and James Segil also co-founded KnowledgeBase, an enterprise knowledge management solution that merged with CRM provider Talisma in 2005.
