EchoSign

EchoSign is an Electronic Signature and contract management company helping you keep you get all your documents signed online. The company is a direct competitor to DocuSign which took a substantial round of financing in the summer of 2007. EchoSign fired back with a second round of $6 million and partnerships with CRM powerhouse Salesforce.com, WebEx and Zoho.

In January 2009, Salesforce.com named EchoSign to the “Best Apps of 2008”.

EchoSign’s signature process requires users to email documents through its system which takes care of the signing process on the other side. The recipients can e-sign instantly in any browser, an iPhone or a Blackberry, or via a widget on any website. Or if desired, recipients can sign by fax using a toll-free fax gateway.

There are 4 levels of membership. For 5 or less signatures a month, the service is free. There are “pro”, “team” and enterprise levels as well that begin at $15 a month.

Easy & Complete Written by Seth Klugman on 4/29/2009 Echosign saves valuable time for our salespeople and provides us with consistent results. This was an easy install and an equally easy transition for our sales team. The simplicity of this product combined with the value it provides makes a 5-star ranking a no-brainer. Thanks, Echosign. The folks at EchoSign have made my job a breeze Written by Julie Lorch on 4/29/2009 We love this App. Overall, EchoSign offers an excellent App design and is easy to use. I had a couple of questions during our set up, but the team at EchoSign returned my calls within the hour every time. EchoSign is great! The people at EchoSign are wonderful! Enjoy!

This service anything but just works. We couldn't even get one contract signed using the 5 free contracts they give you. The service is only good for the most basic contract needs (i.e. simply stamp on a signature, without even indicating which party you are on a contract with a "Client" and "Customer") unless you pay $300/month for the enterprise level. Recipients of the contract kept misunderstanding what to do, so we had to resend contracts. It also does not work with the default PDF reader on Max OS X, which is fine for us but constantly trips up receiving parties. The service is riddled with error messages, such as "That access code is invalid" when I didn't even enter any access code. The live support window just closes after you enter your question without connecting you to someone live. When you call their support line during business hours, no matter if you press 1 for sales or 2 for support, it just rings, "attempts to locate the party", and then goes to voice mail. If you fill out the form to have them call you, after filling it out it just tells you the callback service is not available. This company's not making it through the end of the year.

I've been using this service lately and definitely recommend it. It's clean, simple, and just works.

Great service. I just wished the majority of the population caught onto the legality of E-Signatures.
