eBay is an online auction site where people buy and sell goods worldwide. Any item can be sold online as long as it is not illegal or it does not violate eBay’s Prohibited and Restricted Items policy.
eBay generates revenue by charging various fees for its service. The auction service (US version) charges the seller $0.20 to $0.80 per listing and 5.25% or less of the final price. In addition, advertisements may also appear on the website pages.
eBay products include eBay Marketplace, Media Marketplace, Skype, PayPal, Shopping.com, Rent.com, and various online classifieds.
