Eastmedia is a Web product development company whose primary areas of expertise include Web application design and development, mobile application development, and strategic and technology consulting.
In early 2005, Eastmedia made the decision to adopt Ruby on Rails, and has since become a leader in the New York City Ruby / Rails communities. The technology team is comprised of active participants, instructors, authors and speakers in the global Ruby / Rails communities.
Eastmedia launched a beta of it’s first consumer product in December 2008. The site, called Spot.io, is a place for people to post and share the interesting things they see around them every day. Spot.io allows people to email, tweet, and post sightings anonymously or as members. Sightings can include pictures and descriptions and are geo-located whenever possible. Spot.io is currently in an early beta phase, with plans to add new features in the near future.
