The company was formerly known as Systems Sales, Inc. and changed its name in September 1980. Eagle Test Systems, Inc. was founded in 1976 and is based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. As of November 14, 2008, Eagle Test Systems, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of Teradyne Inc.
