Drexel University is a private coeducational university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1891 by Anthony J. Drexel, a noted financier and philanthropist. Drexel’s longstanding cooperative-education or “co-op” program, where students can graduate with up to 18 months of real-world experience, is one of the largest and oldest in the United States. Drexel is composed of nine colleges, including the College of Information Science and Technology and the College of Arts and Sciences, two of the oldest colleges within Drexel; and the Drexel University College of Engineering, for which Drexel is perhaps best-known. Drexel has four campus. Three of the campus are located in the Philadelphia area, including the main University City campus. The fourth campus is the Sacramento Center for Graduate Studies, located in Sacramento, CA.
