FilesWire is a fully decentralized ,P2P File Sharing Application that works directly from a users browser. There is no client to download, install and configure so user are able to start downloading and sharing content immediately.
The FilesWire application is based on a p2p framework and protocal called G3,Following a successful beta, the company’s long term objective will be to release the G3 Library and API under a creative commons licence to enable p2p developers to simply and easily create p2p applications based on G3 Technology.
The G3 API provides a very easy to use high-level event-driven interface and handles core network protocal messsages internally. This enables developers to rapidly deploy p2p clients in as little as 40 lines of code.
FilesWire is clear demonstration of the capabilities of the G3 platform and provides some enhanced features usually only typically found in desktop p2p clients, these include: an integrated media player, a preview download feature and multi threaded downloads.
