DNA Guide solves provides a solution for navigating genetic data regulation, privacy and ease of use.

DNA Guide’s Founder, Alice Rathjen, was awarded the Kaufman Women in Science & Engineering Business Idea Competition Award for 2011 for DNA Guide’s solution for managing personal genetic data.

DNA Guide’s software is designed to facilitate the flow of genetic information from the lab to the physician and patient. The software has three modules - a security token based on values in the persons genome, a iPAD full genome browser that functions like a google earth for the cell, and map of the human body linked to gene expression data. DNA Guide’s security and visualization software is based on an issued patent (US Patent: 7089498 http://bit.ly/3bEmpT Method for preparing and using personal and genetic profiles) .

The company plans on providing next generation sequencing companies and molecular diagnostics a path to market by placing genetic data in a format that makes it accessible to non-scientific audiences.
