The Discus Awards program, launched in late October 2009 at www.DiscusAwards.com, is a recognition and scholarship program that honors all-around U.S. high school students for their achievements in at least three out of ten key attributes. Designed to recognize students for achievements inside and outside the classroom, the ten key attributes students may choose from are academics, arts, athletics, community service, faith, government, green, technology, work, and other achievements.
Discus Awards winners are selected by a panel of teachers, guidance counselors, admissions officers, and other education professionals, and each winner is eligible for a unique portfolio of college scholarships, including the $2,000 National All-Around Student Scholarship awarded every month of the school year.
The Discus Awards is operated by Scholarship Strategies.
