Discountshuffle, launched in 2010, develops a Facebook app that allows users to get Facebook Credits in return for their online purchases. Online shops are able to incentivize their sales with a virtual current and target a new group of online shoppers. Facebook Credits, a virtual currency can be spent in over 200 games and applications on Facebook such as FarmVille or MafiaWars. There are currently over 700 registered online shops where users can choose to complete their purchase and receive Facebook Credits in return.
Discountshuffle is based in Germany, currently focusing primarily on the US and European online shop advertising market. The team behind the project are based in Germany and Spain with experiences as wide ranged as healthcare and corporate finance. Nevertheless the much needed IT knowledge lies in house.
