DibzOnIt (www.dibzonit.com) is a niche vertical auction platform which enables consumers to bid on gift cards from retailers, food and beverage companies.
Bids are bought upfront in packs of 25 to 1000. The cost of bids is dependent upon the package size, although starting as high as 90 cents to 50 cents.
The consumer will place bids on auctions in hopes to be the highest bidder when the auction runs out. Each bid placed will increase the auction price by 1 cent. In addition, to keep the auction fair for all participants, the auction clock will also increase by a random amount of seconds anywhere from 1 to 15 each time a consumer places a bid on an auction.
