DeviceVM calls its first product, Splashtop, an instant internet environment.
Within seconds of turning on your computer, Splashtop pops up and gives instant access to a number of internet applications, including an internet browser and Skype.
The Splashtop screen also has an “Enter OS” button that launches your traditional operating system. Splashtop currently comes on some Asus motherboards under the name “Express Gate.”

Splashtop is a light-weight operating system that allows consumers to use their computers seconds after hitting the power button. Models spanning a wide range of segments are to ship with Splashtop pre-installed by ASUS starting in June of 2008. The software is used by several ASUS notebooks.
