DealQuad is a group buying company targeted at college campuses, started by serial entrepreneur Jeff Appelbaum in October of 2010. DealQuad launched in partnership with college newspapers, leveraging existing marketing and sales relationships at top tier campuses. The company acquired tens of thousands of paying customers through digital & event-driven strategies and reached break-even after 6 months of operations. It was acquired by e-commerce company BeachMint in July of 2011.
