| Description | Sports Ticket Daily Deals |
Crowd Seats is the first Daily Deals/Group Buying Site (i.e. Groupon) designed exclusively for sports tickets. I am humbly requesting coverage/writeup for our full launch (Monday, June 6, 2011). Crowd Seats offers tickets to sporting events at 50-90% off face value with no fees.
Sports Teams have experimented with Groupon and LivingSocial in the past 18 months with great results (http://www.groupon.com/deals/dallas-mavericks-october among 50+). Sure, there are tons of Group Buying Sites out there, but this niche (sports tickets) is a perfect fit for this business model. Why? There are inherent overages (i.e. additional revenue streams) that are guaranteed for each ticket sold on Crowd Seats.
The Fan Cost Index is the sports industry metric of measuring what a fan spends once they buy the ticket. Think parking, food, beverages, beer, souvenirs, programs, etc - each time a ticket is sold on Crowd Seats, the team will generate revenue from the ticket sale (minus our cut, which varies) on top of the guaranteed additional “overage” revenue from parking, concessions, etc. This model makes us very attractive to teams and events of all levels (pro, minor league, local).
