Crowd is an aggregation and search service (mobile app + web widget) to visualise the stream of public geotagged and timestamped photos taken at every instant all over the world. With Crowd you can get a feeling for what is going right now and anywhere. Currently in beta the service will be available on major mobile platforms in Q4 2011.
Crowd aims to aggregate and make sense of every single public, geotagged and time stamped photo that is made available to the world.
Crowd currently aggregates hundreds of thousands of photos shared publicly every day through social networks and with popular photo sharing applications (twitpic, yfrog, instagram, 4sq). Additional streams are continuously being added (picplz, G+, …).
The photos are organised using all the metadata available (GPS location, time stamp, captions, comments, tags, etc…).
Crowd makes it easy to ï¬nd meaningful photos in an instant • Fast navigation with a map that drives the stream of photos displayed • Colour-coded pins show popular places or events and friends’ photos • Hashtag feature to ï¬lter photos from a certain event (e.g. a tech conf) or a given theme (e.g. weather)
