CopperGate Communication, Ltd., a system-on-chip company, develops, markets, and sells chipsets for the home networking and MDU/MTU broadband access markets. Its standards-based home networking chipsets enable residence-wide distribution and networking of triple-play services and other multimedia entertainment content, as well as the delivery of triple-play broadband services to multiple apartments in MDU/MTU environments over coaxial cables, phone lines, and power wires. The company sells its products to manufacturers of equipment for the home and SOHO broadband access and content distribution markets, such as residential gateways and routers, media servers, and set-top boxes, as well as various network adaptors, cards, and bridges. CopperGate Communication was founded in 2000 and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel with additional offices in the United States, Taiwan, Korea, China, and Japan.
