CoolChip Technologies, Inc. is a privately held company founded in 2010, and located in the greater Boston area. The company was founded to commercialize technologies making breakthroughs possible in electronics cooling. The company was launched when CoolChip won the 2011 MIT Clean Energy Prize grand prize, sponsored by the Department of Energy, NSTAR, and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.

CoolChip is comprised of a team of engineers and business executives with expertise in semiconductors, thermal-fluid systems and thermal design, and advanced microfluidics and heat pipe design. The company’s collective experience includes computer chip architecture design, electronics cooling design, CFD and CAD modeling and analysis, and manufacturing and supply-chain management expertise.
