CogniFit, Ltd. is a cognitive science software company that is focused on improving quality of life through the assessment and training of cognitive skills.

CogniFit Ltd. is a privately owned Israeli company founded in 1999 by Prof. Shlomo Breznitz, a recognized authority in psychology. The company’s main office is located in the Yokneam Industrial Park in the north of Israel and has branches in Seattle and Paris.

The company uses patented, scientifically validated technology to develop and market software which enhances basic cognitive skills such as memory, perception and attention which enhances essential skills and/or the quality of life across all segments of the population.

The core technology is based on scientific research that has shown that PC-based assessment and training is an effective tool to enhance cognitive skills. This core technology has an almost unlimited number of applications that can be used by people of all ages. CogniFit has developed several suites of products; for assessment and training of driving-related cognitive skills; for healthy adults who want to maintain their cognitive health; health-related cognitive decline and learning-related cognitive skills.

CogniFit has developed unique algorithms for analyzing the data received. The process has been patented as the CogniFit Individualized Training System (ITS). The variables are compared and weighted to allow for an accurate definition of general cognitive abilities. These algorithms are updated continuously to form a clear picture of cognitive progress. They are refined and improved as more people use the system, thus creating a significant barrier against competition by virtue of the depth of data in the database. The software continues to analyze the output of each training session throughout the training period, and adapts the training program automatically, according to the user’s progress and needs. The adaptation includes modifying the level of difficulty of each task and selecting specific additional training tasks.
