CloudGizmos is a software company based in Silicon Valley. CloudGizmos’s vision is to provide software and services that connect cloud applications.
History: The company was started in 2012 by Alex Kerschhofer and Rachel Marie McKay, both with a business software background. It is their mission to present users with a seamless experience, traversing between cloud applications. Their slogan “Embrace the Intercloud” represents a trend of small software companies providing complementary software and services to existing cloud computing applications such as Salesforce.com or Google Apps.
Products: As of March 2012, CloudGizmos provides a product (DocMocracy) that creates MS Office files and Google Docs from within Salesforce.com. DocMocracy can incorporate advanced features such as track changes and password protection. DocMocracy runs on the commercial version of Google Appengine. The company states, it is the only Salesforce.com document generator that comes with a flat-fee licensing model.
