The Gerber file format is the de-facto format for communicating fabrication information for “bare” PCBs to the companies that make them. Billions of dollars in commerce reply on the use of this format each year. Unfortunately, the Gerber format is incompletely specified and many incompatible implementations exist in design, production and embedded software. Our software allows designers, their clients and fabricators to agree on a common interpretation of Gerber data to ensure consistent expectations and eliminate costly rework and production delays.
