Changyou.com is a leading developer and operator of online games in China as measured by the popularity of its games, TLBB, DDTank, and Wartune (also known as Shen Qu). It began operations in 2003 as Sohu.com’s massively multi-player online games (“MMORPG”) business unit.
The company has a leading in-house technology platform that includes our advanced 2.5D and 3D graphics engine, a uniform game development platform, effective anti-cheating and anti-hacking technologies, proprietary cross-networking technology, and advanced data protection technology.
The company has a diverse portfolio of online games, including Tian Long Ba Bu, Xuan Yuan Sword game series and Lu Ding Ji.
In December 2007, ChangYou was carved out as stand-alone company and completed its initial public offering on the NASDAQ Global Select Market on April 2, 2009.
As of March 31, 2013, the total revenue for Changyou in the first quarter had reached 177.6 million dollars, a 30% percent increase over last year.
