Founded by Hampton Catlin after the success of “Dictionary!” for the iPhone allowed the company to open profitable and begin developing other products. After selling iWik (Wikipedia for your iPhone) to Wikimedia Foundation and taking a position there, Hampton launched a simple on-phone dictionary application originally called “Dictionaire” and now called “Dictionary!” which competes directly with “Dictionary.com”

Dictionary! for iPhone has had over 2 million installs since its launch and 300k words are looked up every day across the three Dictionary! platforms.
