Their first offering, Pora Ora, is an educational virtual world for children aged 5-12 years. The 3D world allows children to explore and interact with friends while engaging in educational activities which map directly to the national curriculum. Children explore the worlds of Pora Ora, whilst learning along the way.

Pora Ora is a free online 3D virtual world where children in the primary school age range (5-12) can learn, socialise and play games.
It is a social world where children can explore, connect and enjoy games, quests and puzzles. Children are encouraged to engage with educational content by a variety of means such as in-game currency, character progression and the unlocking of new levels, helping to keep kids motivated and engaged.
Pora Ora maps all educational content to the national curriculum, allowing content to be levelled according to each user’s own ability. The game also provides meaningful and accurate reports to parents and teachers.
At the heart of the game is the child’s “Pora Pal”, much like a virtual pet, whose mood and well-being depend on the child earning knowledge, creativity and exploration points. The Pora Pals have proved highly popular as children want to keep them happy and healthy.
The game is free to play, for both children and schools. We have developed a school mode allowing teachers to disable and control the interactive features. Children must complete an eSafety quest and have parental permission to utilize the interactive features. With our strong focus on safety we not only allow parents to engage with their child’s learning through progress reports and in-game interaction, but they are given the power to control the safety settings. As the child matures, the settings can be eased.
