Bytemobile
Bytemobile provides mobile internet solutions. As a tier-one provider, Bytemobile enables wireless network operators to deliver value-added data services to consumers on mass-market cellular phones, feature phones, smartphones, and laptops.
Founded in 2000 to optimize data applications on wireless networks, Bytemobile was first to market with a commercial deployment of dynamic optimization technology. In early 2006, the company launched its Unison™ Mobile Internet Platform, which enables operators to deliver multiple integrated data services from a single point in the core data path of the network. With the Unison platform, operators can scale their network performance and capacity ahead of rising data traffic, within the footprint of their existing installations, thereby containing infrastructure costs.
In 2007, Bytemobile added Web Fidelity™ Service, Media Fidelity™ Service and Ad Fidelity™ Service to its portfolio of mobile internet solutions. These products enable network operators to deliver a consistent web browsing and multimedia across all mobile devices, while monetizing the experience through the insertion of sponsored advertising.
The Bytemobile product portfolio also includes Web Velocity™ Engine, which accelerates web page downloads on handsets and laptops and reduces data volume at the network level;
WebGate™ Service, a mobile internet gateway for intelligent traffic management and adaptive service control; and SurfSafe™ Service, which enables filtering of web content for parental controls.
Bytemobile’s technology provides consumers with a lifestyle of total mobility, across all content, networks and devices. This is known as the Fourth Wave of Computing – after mainframes, minicomputers and PCs – in which mobile computing and communications converge at a highly personal level.
Bytemobile’s solutions are installed in the networks of 100 operators in 53 countries and 12 of the world’s top 15 tier-one operators. Customers include AT&T, China Mobile, China Unicom, KDDI, KPN, Orange, Orascom, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, Telecom Italia Mobile, Telefónica O2, TeliaSonera, Vodafone, and WILLCOM.
