Bunchball is a company geared towards enhancing customer websites by improving user engagement.
Originally focused on gaming, Bunchball created Flash widgets that could be embedded on any site. In December 2007, they became the first company to offer cross-platform gaming, allowing users from different social networks (Facebook and Bebo) to play games in real-time with each other.
The company has built on the lessons learned from its social gaming service to develop a methodology for driving web site behavior. Calling it Web Catalytics, Bunchball hopes to make its customers’ web sites more addictive, fun, and compelling.

Nitro is Bunchball’s full-featured web catalytics solution. At its most basic level, it securely tallies points and events based on actions users take on customers’ sites. Add-on Nitro modules allow customers to add virtual goods and avatars, community, and games functionality, increasing Nitro’s ability to incent the site behavior customers are looking for from their users.
