BrightTag is building a new technical foundation for the next generation of online marketing. The company’s tag management solution helps marketers and web analysts make online data instantly useful in any web or mobile application, while solving fundamental privacy, data quality and site performance challenges. The BrightTag ONE™ platform eliminates barriers to innovation by optimizing and, many cases, replacing traditional “tag-centric” methods of connecting sites to marketing services with real-time, direct integration.

BrightTag is the leading tag management provider for the world’s largest internet retailers. Recognized for its innovative approach to removing vendor tags from the browser, the company was named by VentureWire and an independent board of review at Dow Jones as one of the 50 most innovative technology companies of 2011 and a member of the FASTech50.

BrightTag ONE is an integration platform for the digital marketing industry. It serves as a single point of integration for any data-driven solution and gives site owners complete and transparent control over the data collected on their site.

BrightTag ONE works by replacing obstructive layers of website third-party data collection code (e.g. tracking pixels, tags, etc.) with a single, integrated, cloud-based data server. The technology is typically implemented via a single snippet of JavaScript that most clients put in the global footer of their site.

Data collection is managed through a simple web-based interface that enables site owners to send only client-authorized data to their service providers, in real time. The platform is flexible to capture any action on any given page, with support for complex business rules such as conditional firing. Consumer privacy protection is built-in, by design.

The BrightTag ONE integration platform sends data to third-party service providers in real time via one of two ways:

  • An API (“Server-Direct” through the cloud)
  • A highly optimized client-side tag (through the browser)

Through its unique “Server-Direct” integration with third-party service providers, BrightTag ONE reduces page weight and load time by eliminating the need for multiple tags to be loaded into web visitors’ browsers.
