The Brazos Group is a group of stand-alone nonprofit entities originally founded in 1979 for the purpose of financing higher education loans under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). Each of the companies periodically acquires pools of student loans through the issuance of asset-backed revenue bonds.
