Bots employ Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to defeat CAPTCHAs and have been shown to be especially adept at defeating static CAPTCHAs such as those used by Google, Microsoft, AOL, and others.
BotProof CAPTCHAs are animated and it is this movement that defeats even the most sophisticated OCR software. And yet, this very same animation enables us to make the CAPTCHAs visually rich and supremely easy to read because the human mind is so much more complex than a computer.
