Bleacher Report

The Bleacher Report was founded by four sports fans from the Bay Area, who wanted to create a way to let independent sports experts and analysts on the internet form a pool of talent that could reach the mainstream audience.

Launch Date2008

Bleacher Report lets any sports fan become a sports writer. Similar to a blogging platform, users that sign up can publish content about college for professional sports. The founders call it “the open source sports network” because anyone in its built in community can edit others’ writing. Users can also create profiles to list their recent articles, put up a bio, and let readers see their latest activity.
