beRecruited

beRecruited helps connect high school athletes with college coaches for recruiting purposes. They claim over 1 million athlete - coach connections are made each year because of their service. Basic accounts are free, but premium accounts (which give athletes extra exposure) are available for a small one-time fee.

As of May 2008, beRecruited has more than 200,000 total registered users, including more than 195,000 high school athletes, 10,000 college coaches, 7,500 high school coaches, and 5,000 fans.

beRecruited was founded in 2000 by Ryan Spoon, a collegiate swimmer for Duke University, in an effort to make the recruiting process more efficient for high school athletes and NCAA coaches. First created exclusively for NCAA swimming and diving, beRecruited now serves athletes and coaches from 18 different sports. beRecruited is a free service for registered users, maintaining the founders’ principle of providing a free resource that efficiently and effectively connects high school athletes and coaches nationwide.
