Beleza na Web is an online beauty retailer that offers to the women of Brazil a selection of products that can only be found in the world’s best beauty salons and prestiege selective cosmetics. The company is currently Latin America’s leader in online haircare products, targeting end consumers in all of Brazilian regions. By the end of 2012 Beleza na Web expanded it’s product mix to Prestiege Fragances, Skin Care and Make Up. The main selling prepositions that appeal to its customer base are, professional product content, expert referal, free shipping, shop credit on first purchase and the ability of paying in installments (a practice very common in Brazil). In 2012 Ebit elected Beleza na Web as Brazil’s Best Beauty Online Store and Top 5 Diamond Award in Customer Excellence out of over 7000 online retailers. Founded on 2007 by Alexandre Serodio (ex Firmenich, IFF and Jafra Cosmetics), son of cosmetics businessman Ademar Serodio, the company grew double fold untill 2011. Beginning of 2011 Beleza na Web aquired Rede Miss Bella (in solon start up retailer) founded by Lucas Mendes and Felipe Mansano - former Bain & Company and Goldman Sachs. A few months later, they brought the funding of Tiger Global Management and Kaszek Ventures, who made their first investment in the company in August 2011. Later on, Fernando Nawa, former IT director at Walmart.com.br, also joined Beleza na Web as CTO.
