BakeSpace.com is a food-themed social network and recipe swap for people who are passionate about food cooking and baking.
The site has developed a new ‘recipe’ for brand integration: Over the past year, BakeSpace has hosted a series of unique promotions for brands such as Meredith Corp, KitchenAid, Universal, Sara Lee, FOX Searchlight and McCormick’s. Most recent was a promotion with ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” (http://www.bakespace.com/?wisterialane) in which BakeSpace members could swap recipes inspired by the show with Bree, Edie, Susan and the other lead characters. The site makes it easier for sponsors to create organic promotions that engage with members on a peer-to-peer level and add value to the BakeSpace community.
Named a 2009 Webby Award Nominee for “Best Social Network” and 2008 & 2007 Official Webby Award Honoree, and was the only food-oriented site recognized in the highly competitive Social Networking Category.
