AsystMe’s proactive intelligent assistant delivers notifications of news, suggestions, or offers to mobile users when they are receptive. People cannot continuously search, so we can monitor virtually any accessible source on their behalf. People are overloaded, so we let each user determine when they are receptive to different notifications. Content providers can’t address individual needs, so we allow users to personalize what they receive. Businesses don’t know who to target in real-time, so we deliver their time-sensitive information or offers to users who are “receptive now.”
A user may want an early wake-up call if the weather is bad, traffic alerts before and during their commute, sports team news in the evening, and offers for discount tee-times if their schedule is open. In all cases the user is in control; our assistant filters and notifies based on the user’s real-time context (activity, location, busyness, etc.) and their context-specific configuration.
Configuration is simple, with single-click subscriptions to “topics.” Each topic describes sources, keywords and filters; it also describes the contexts during which the user is receptive to that information. We provide some sports and entertainment topics, but most topics will be “crowdsourced.” User-created topics can be shared with friends or made “public.” Topics can be used out of the box, or the user can personalize when they receive it.
