Asyncast Corporation has created a new service called Rocketron, a hands-free, mobile news service that lets listeners choose and hear the news on a mobile phone.

With Rocketron, listeners are in control. They navigate the news by voice command and skip the stories they don’t like. Rocketron works from any mobile phone, simply by dialing (408) 907-2323.The service has a variety of built-in news categories, such as business, technology, sports and politics, and it can be further customized by user-supplied keywords at www.rocketron.com, or simply by talking to it on the phone. Rocketron, which is free to its listeners, offers advertisers many unique new opportunities for personalized placement. Each ad lasts seven seconds.
