Astellas Pharma Inc. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the pharmaceuticals and related products business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Pharmaceuticals and Related Products segment is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of its pharmaceuticals to both domestic and overseas markets including Japan, North America, Europe and Asia. The Others segment is engaged in the real estate business. In July 2010, the Company established a subsidiary in Brazil.
