Asankya

Asankya provides high quality streaming content both one-way and two-way over IP networks. The technology splits a single application flow across multiple paths or caches, avoiding the network bottlenecks that reduce streaming quality and end-user experience.

Asankya’s core technology, Parallel Networking, transports and improves the performance of any type of application. The improvements are greatest for real-time, high-bandwidth applications such as streaming video, interactive gaming, and large data transfers.

Asankya is developing a new type of media delivery network, called Hypermesh. Hypermesh, which is powered by Parallel Networking, incorporates Asankya’s unique technology to optimize the delivery of content and applications simultaneously.

Developed at Georgia Tech, the private, Atlanta-based company was founded in 2004 by Dr. Raghupathy Sivakumar. The Asankya team is led by Scott Ryan, former co-founder and CEO of Incanta.
