Archimedes Labs is a Palo Alto based incubator founded in 2005 by Keith Teare and Mike Arrington. Today the partners include Kambiz Hooshmand (Stratacom, Cisco, Applied Micro and Silver Lake), Jay Borentein (Stanford University CS Dept); Kevin Doerr (Microsoft, Oodle, Yahoo), Matt Kaufman (RealNames, edgeio, Oodle); Patrick Gannon (Lending Club, Wells Fargo) and Bess Ho (Author, Mobile Architect and Lecturer).
Archimedes is an incubator in the style of BetaWorks. It runs a studio from which it develops its own ideas into independent companies, it also partners with entrepreneurs through its acceleration program. Archimedes is focused on the mobile software market.
