Angelsoft is an Internet software company that provides the investment management platform for most of the world’s organized business angel investors and a growing number of venture capital funds. It also provides a complementary suite of fundraising management tools for early stage entrepreneurs and is increasingly being used by law firms, business plan competitions, and other participants in the early stage ecosystem.
As of June, 2009, Angelsoft powers approximately 500 angel groups and venture capital funds in 45 countries, with approximately 18,000 accredited investors using the company’s free software to manage entrepreneur submissions to their individual groups.
Entrepreneurs seeking funding can use Angelsoft’s free Investor Search Engine to find investment groups specializing in a particular industry or region, and then use its free, standardized “Common Application” to apply for funding directly to one or more groups.
For broader exposure, Angelsoft also has an Investor Community section called Open Deals where, for a fee, entrepreneurs can post their funding application for 30 days so that it is available to all investors and groups on the platform.
Angelsoft is based in New York City, funded by angels itself, and was founded by CEO David S. Rose, who is also the founder and Chairman of New York Angels.
