AltCareer, a new job website for professionals, is helping small businesses and startups in Canada attract in-demand workers by highlighting unique office perks and flexible working arrangements. Founded in Waterloo, Ontario during the summer of 2011 by Paul St Onge and Carlos Perez, AltCareer’s official launch was in January 2012, and since then the site has seen considerable growth in both candidates and employers. AltCareer is currently active in Toronto and the Waterloo region, and will be expanding to other cities soon. Current employers listing on the site include Achievers, Desire2Learn, Enflick, Top Hat Monocle, Vortex Connect, Xtreme Labs, and more.
