I agree. I have had Ajax Desktop Startpage for a year now. It mostly works however there is a major bug that makes it a non-starter for a production site. It lacks IE compatibility. There doesn't seem to be any support at all. I had some at first however it has all gone away. My gut tells me they can't hang on to programmers.

Same with me. I guess you have to be a programming wiz to use their products. I've had an issue with them for over 2 years too.They don't even have a social forum so that alstrasoft clients can help each other. Each time I had to wait for them to respond to my e-mails and when they did their answers were very vague. I also experienced quick response only when it comes to them getting more money in their pocket.

Excellent product :) Purchase the AJAX startpage like netvibes.com and video share package which works wonder - setup was a breeze for me. For those who needs help on the setup, they do provide setup fee of $30 which imo is a very reasonable amount

Alstrasoft has established a long history of poor customer support, buggy scripts and complete lack of accountability. Do a search for "alstrasoft problems" or errors/bugs/nightmares/etc., to see exactly what to expect from this company. Beware.

Well, let me chime in with pretty much the same assessment as the previous posters. I purchased EFriends a little over 2 years ago and have never felt it ready for a production site. I renewed my download subscription one year in hopes that Alstrasoft would actually de-bug the software .... never happened. In terms of responsiveness I have to say that when I emailed them to get information on how to renew my download subscription I got an answer the same day ... priorities I guess ... SO, unless you just want to code-fix someone elses software, find a more mature product ...

I purchased e-friends in 1995 and had nothing but problems. After payment, they became non responsive. In addition, e-friends product has quite a few flaws and is no where close to being secure. As a matter of fact, in chat, your email address is exposed to all to see. My advice - keep away.
