AdRoll launched in 2006 to create display advertising solutions for reaching niche and enthusiast audiences. To accomplish this, AdRoll created a proprietary rating system that uses crowd-sourced input to makes sense of ad inventory on tens of thousands of sites. Customers can use the self-service interface at www.adroll.com to access this rating system and quickly launch an effective advertising campaign on the most influential and relevant sites based on their target customer’s interests.
In addition to display advertising, AdRoll provides communication tools that allow advertisers to promote directly to site publishers and arrange custom promotional integrations. Before the existence of this ecosystem on AdRoll, brands had to arrange these types of integrations manually on a site by site basis.
To complete their suite of advertising products, AdRoll launched RoundTrip (www.adroll.com/retargeting) the first retargeting tool specifically designed for small and medium sized brands. RoundTrip enables advertisers to market to and bring back prospective customers who leave a site without converting.
