Adrenna designs learning and education software and content for the Workforce and Academic markets.
Founded in 2004, Adrenna Inc. was created to close the gap between education and workforce by providing solutions that track a learner’s performance against core education standards and organizational training objectives. The companies original product is Adrenna Workforce and has won several awards in the eLearning industry. Its in use with major workforce organizations supporting some of the largest unions in the United States.
Adrenna’s new academic product was born out of collaboration with Higher Education and K12 constituents and was announced as open source shortly after Blackboard announced it had acquired MoodleRooms, the largest North American services provider of the Open Source platform known as Moodle.
Adrenna is the first fully functional Learning Management System to be built on Drupal from technologies gathered from the community with Adrenna staff adding extended capabilities to make it fully functional. The system integrates with OpenID and OAuth to provide extended capabilities into social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter to allow for collaboration between sites. Adrenna leverages Amazon Web Services to provide cloud native hosting and software as a service scalability for its clients.
Adrenna set out to disrupt the complex legacy learning management system industry in Higher Education by a deploying a new and innovative, highly scalable, simple and lower cost solution for Academics.
Adrenna Academic is targeted primarily at higher education, and K12 School and School districts and provides capabilities beyond today’s traditional systems including, Blackboard, Moodle and Sakai Project. The product was designed by educators for educators.
