The Action Engine Mobile Application Platform serves as the fundamental framework that is used to build and manage personalized mobile applications for accessing content like news, sports, etc. This browserless platform is comprised of the Action Engine Client, Server, Software Development Kit (SDK), and Administration Console. The Action Engine Client runs on Java and Smartphone mobile devices letting users access On-Device-Portal (ODP) services, while the Action Engine Server is a secure platform that receives user requests from the Client. The Server can integrate multiple data sources/content providers to ultimately send an answer to the user’s request. The Action Engine SDK essentially lets providers develop and adjust their mobile applications for the ODP. Finally, the Action Engine web-based Administration Console allows for management of the ODP by letting providers see usage trends, service quality reports, advertising effectiveness, etc. For further monetization, the Platform now also includes the Action Engine Mobile Advertisting Engine that lets providers and operators insert advertisements within applications.
