Accenture Technology Ventures
Accenture Technology Ventures is the venture capital arm of CIBC World Markets Corp. specializing in business-to-business, business-to-consumer and infrastructure aspects of e-commerce in a wide range of industries. These include financial, retail, transportation and travel, automotive, food and consumer packaged goods, energy, chemicals, utilities, communications, mobile technologies, online learning, new media and high-technology. Typical investments will be in the $2 million to $30 million range. Aside from capital, Accenture Technology Ventures may provide some mix of consulting services, intellectual property and alliances to their portfolio companies. The firm invests globally and will invest in companies at a variety of development stages. The company formed a strategic partnership with Seisint Inc., to develop customer relationship management solutions for the financial, communications and travel service industries. As of February 2, 2003, Accenture Technology Ventures operates as a subsidiary of CIBC Capital Partners.
