Abzooba Inc. is founded with a mission of providing health knowledge that is personalized and contextually relevant to an individual’s unique health condition. Abzooba is a pioneer in bringing the value of social networks to healthcare and in replacing the current doctor-centric curative treatment model with a patient-centric participatory one.
Abzooba has developed a one-stop consumer health focused website that provides access to personal experiences of patients, and useful advice from them on coping and disease management. Our technology identifies and aggregates several hundreds of millions of online patient conversations containing personal experiences, advice etc., distills useful nuggets of information from them, and through data visualization and a user friendly user interface provides access to the “collective wisdom†of other patients with similar condition and demographics. Users can sort and filter various online patient experiences instantly using “intuitive concepts” built into the system. They can learn from others who have been in a situation similar to theirs.
The Abzooba technology is based on high accuracy distillation of concepts and expressions from patient conversations (driven by machine learning and standardized ontology driven deep natural language processing), and analytics over the big data space of resulting concepts. Abzooba’s team is comprised of experts in big data management, health informatics, human language and conversation understanding, and entrepreneurs who have several years of experience in founding and managing technology based start-ups.
