Blogines, owned by IAC, is a free, web-based RSS reader. Bloglines also supports Atom and other news feed standards. Users sign up for an account and add URLs to the feeds they want to subscribe to. Three new features include the ability to save favorite posts, large thumbnail images from Flickr feeds, and full view of the actual blog in the same pane, instead of the just the feed. A customized version of Bloglines is also available for the iPhone.
Bloglines was acquired by Ask Jeeves, now known as Ask.com, in February 2005.
Bloglines competes with Google Reader.
