2Pay is a Brazilian startup, founded in December 2011, focused on payment service market.
The company has just created and released first such product in Latin America: 2Pay, an electronic payment service allowing users in Brazil to conduct financial transactions directly via their iPhones, iPad and iPod.
2Pay is a credit and debit card payment service that uses a small and inexpensive card reader that plugs into the dock connector of an iPhone, iPad and iPod. Contrary to Square, 2Pay supports EMV cards (chip cards) and allows to conduct offline transactions. This makes the complete payment process much more secure than in Square’s case.
